psycho bubble
did anyone make it to the hayward gallery last summer? ive been real slack with scanning film since then and just getting round to all the old gems from back then. the exhibiti0n was called psycho buildings, the whole gallery was chopped and rebuilt and flooded. a huge plastic geodesic bubble was on one of the balconies which you could pass through an airlock into, sit inside and watch people above you, being supported by plastic sheets and air pressure?! incredibe, especially when its your turn to jump into the bubble and roll around on its bouncy surface. the other balcony was flooded with water and after passing over a pontoon fashion from off-cuts, barrels lashed with rope you climb into a squarish tub of a row boat, the paddles were made of spades and chairlegs. the sensation of rowing about, looking down onto waterloo bridge and the southbank centre was odd to say the least….

getting undone
during the run of alice in wonderland i out to the macbeth in hoxton wearing my character make up. drunk women told me that i looked like a racoon. racoons have lots of fun with cobwebs. so does everyone else really

79 photographers, no protest – g20
12.41pm: Guardian reporters on the scene say many of the people gathered appear to be curious onlookers rather than demonstrators.
12.59pm: TV pictures show a small group of protesters apparently goading police. It should be emphasised though that there seem to be more people photographing the trouble than there are protesters involved in it.

lefto in your ears (and eyes) [and brain]
i put together a slideshow for a leftovers installation at a music night at the macbeth pub in hoxton. its an hour long ‘animation’ set to a radio show thats currently airing on uncut.fm. its a first delve into putting images into moving sequences connected with audio. i love the idea of a narrative of still images, working with a soundtrack, i think it makes the imagination work much more than video alone…. its an hour long so watch out
killer driller
george (driller) henrique’s sculptures, from the leftovers in the gallery exhibition. master of geometry and shape abstraction (or some bullshit like that)

to bee or not (or) they sucked his brains out!
apparently honey bees are on the steep decline which mortifyingly sad for me, coz im a big fan of crunchie bars. seriously though it spells ecological disaster if they die out, as without pollination there wont be any plants therefore, any other form of life within a few years. so it was pretty sad to come across a peaceful daffodil patch in a secret garden in hampstead which was littered with the empty shells of bumble bees, eaten from the inside out by some unknown vile flesh eating eater. so we built them a daff-raft and floated them towards valhalla. heres the story
