creator curator
ive been busy shooting university of westminster degree shows for the marketing department…leading up to my own degree show this week! hype… heres some portraits of artists and their work
i cant edit
ive been posting like a muthaf*ka in september. just literally pissing out images. ive cleared the whole stack of stuff so heres the dregs. who knows what order to put em in or what they mean. theres no pretensions, im just gonna splatter 17 of the best ones all over the place

curatorial glow
in march i co-curated an exhibition in westbourne park. heres some insight into how to put together a world class art show.

sapho colours
a shoot in my living room for electronic music producer sapho. im a big fan of multicolour (and hand puppets – my duck gordon rolls with me to festivals) so the props are pretty rad.

vahakn picker city
my associate vahakn is putting together a map of all the fruit trees in london to create a fruit picking/poaching/jamming/pickling etc commuity. hes also custom built a fruit picker + backback to harvest said fruits. wooop. we took to a traffic island in swiss cottage to take some shots for the final exhibition of his masters in design/products at the RCA!

psycho bubble
did anyone make it to the hayward gallery last summer? ive been real slack with scanning film since then and just getting round to all the old gems from back then. the exhibiti0n was called psycho buildings, the whole gallery was chopped and rebuilt and flooded. a huge plastic geodesic bubble was on one of the balconies which you could pass through an airlock into, sit inside and watch people above you, being supported by plastic sheets and air pressure?! incredibe, especially when its your turn to jump into the bubble and roll around on its bouncy surface. the other balcony was flooded with water and after passing over a pontoon fashion from off-cuts, barrels lashed with rope you climb into a squarish tub of a row boat, the paddles were made of spades and chairlegs. the sensation of rowing about, looking down onto waterloo bridge and the southbank centre was odd to say the least….

lefto in your ears (and eyes) [and brain]
i put together a slideshow for a leftovers installation at a music night at the macbeth pub in hoxton. its an hour long ‘animation’ set to a radio show thats currently airing on uncut.fm. its a first delve into putting images into moving sequences connected with audio. i love the idea of a narrative of still images, working with a soundtrack, i think it makes the imagination work much more than video alone…. its an hour long so watch out
killer driller
george (driller) henrique’s sculptures, from the leftovers in the gallery exhibition. master of geometry and shape abstraction (or some bullshit like that)

i do wonder
im in a play! not so much of an actor, but i guess i am a little unhinged. So the March Hare in Alice in Wonderland suits me just fine. Heres some headshots for promotion…

leftovers in the gallery
Last week i (along with george henriques and alice old) curated, promoted and exhibited in a showcase exhibition of 10 leftovers artists, at the rather swish gallery 118 in westbourne grove, portobello. Lots of hard work but it paid off by how dam sexy it looked in there. Unfortunately only on for 5 days, its inspired me to do things bigger, better and longer. soon. check out the leftovers website for more pix and artworks from the show

why sit in traffic empty handed
I just finished making a book documenting my travels across the USA last summer. Its a visual portrait of modern American life as viewed through the window of a car… link to the book (pdf)
