major lazers at cargo last nite, i was working overtime to shoot a never ending stream of bands from westminster university’s commercial music course…. all lit in blazing greeeen… bazow!!
boxettes, jarvis cocker, stig + syntax @ cargo
all girl accapella/beatbox group the boxettes ripped apart cargo with their powerhouse vocal skills… these girls are set for big things! jarvis cocker passed through to host the event and stig and syntax wrapped it up with some blazing freestyles….
why music matters
the launch of an industry wide initiative to remind listeners of the intrinsic value of music, why music matters launched at the curzon soho, screening 6 shorts about legendary musicians including john martyn, kate bush and nick cave. later that night we sojourned to cargo where future cinema hosted an event featuring shingai from the noisettes and graham coxon from blur duetting, followed by graham soundtracking a selection of short films. erland and the carnival also played….
magic skeletons?
last minute gigs r fun. especially when they’re at cargo, you find out the same day, unrehearsed and no-one comes. we thrashed out a blinding set though. and i got to play with my new setup… mam-fort may soon be extinct but the skeleton will stand.
